AGING GRACEFULLY WITH OPRAH, CAMERON AND JUSTINE VERSUS ANTI-AGING WITH VIVIAN

REMOVING THE SIGNS OF AGING

I believe I am truly practicing Anti aging!  Based on all current anti-aging/ skin care research which I did.  The way and process that I fixed my skin, I believe is virtually impossible.  BioKorium® Skin Care is AWSOME, or I should say my husband is awesome, he makes all my skin care.  Within 2 years, I have fixed my puffy eyes, sculpted my face, changed the texture of my skin, reduced the size of my pores, eliminated large pores, removed almost all the discoloration on my face, tightened and lifted my lips and above all I feel great!

I am currently training about 100 women on how to practice skin care my way! I want to thank all of my clients who were willing to try something completely different. What I realized is that my clients needed a skin coach in order to learn how and when to use active ingredients, especially if you want the ingredients to deliver BIG.

We started the BioKorium® Experiment about two and a half years ago, and we research the latest in skin care and anti aging regularly.  I have been in the skin care industry for about 30 years and it is my opinion today that everybody in the skin care industry has it all wrong.

Regardless of what process, procedure, or product that I use on my skin, it progressively improves everyday.  This is what I call anti aging, is my skin care process, not fillers and botox.  Removing the signs of aging, and how I did it will be coming soon in future blog posting.

THE FUTURE OF BIOKORIUM® SKIN CARE

The future at BioKorium® Skin care will be focused on delivering measurable skin care results. Not just for the face but the entire body. We will be able to address all skin care needs with razor sharp precision. When we started the BioKorium® Experiment we didn’t know what to expect. Here is a clear example of Rebuilding, Re-sculpting and Resetting the skin in order for it to work better.
Feeling Ageless is what my clients begin experiencing after about 6 to 7 months into the process. We can teach you how to clean up your skin or we can do this for you. The results take a little longer when you do this facial yourself. I did myself.
I have worked on this client for one year. Her results are measurable, she is extremely happy. I will be posting my own skin care results shortly. I have been working on my skin for almost a year and a half. We will be starting a new class soon. Stay Tuned!

BLOG SITE SKIN GAB POST SECOND ARTICLE ABOUT VIVIAN MORENO

We’re worth this pampering
About two years ago the blog site SkinGab posted a second article regarding Vivian Moreno’s thoughts and approach to skin care.  This this was part 2 of a previous post from the bloggers point of view . . . So last week, I did a post about Vivian Moreno, an esthetician I met some years ago who suggested I minimize the use of water on my face.  You can read that post here: http://skingab.com/water-ruining-skin/

WATER IS YOUR ENEMY, NOT THE SUN!

WATER IS YOUR ENEMY NOT THE SUN!  IS WATER RUINING YOUR SKIN?

Back in 2017, the blog site Skin Gab interviewed Facialist/Esthetician Vivian Moreno referencing her opinions on Water and the Sun. She changed the accepted points of view by critically thinking out of the skin care box and beyond. What? Don’t wash your face too much, use Aquaphor/Vaseline, and don’t use sunscreen? All these points were pertinent. Don’t wash your face to much as to not destroy the natural pH environment of the skin. BioKorium® has their Waterscreen which is similar to Aquaphor/Vaseline which purpose is to seal in moisture. Sunscreens, well, we are all learning about this on how to much may be a detriment as oppose to a protective factor. Sunscreens are in everything, basic lotions, make-up, lip gloss etc. The chemicals involved in the sunscreen activity can have an effect on skins ability to react to the environment. Remember the skin is living entity.

SUNSCREEN AND THE LIES WE’VE BEEN TOLD ABOUT THE REAL CAUSES OF SKIN CANCER

More and more the truth has been revealed by what we have been saying for the last 20 years.  Sunblocks and Sunscreens are the problem which actually causes skin cancer as oppose to protecting you from skin cancer, as in this 2017 article in The Truth About Cancer.  Local Physician’s cringed when they heard that a facialist by the name of Vivian Moreno was telling her clients that sunscreens were bad for the skin and not to be used daily.  Further, she was telling clients if your skin is healthy it can actually resist the damaging effects of the sun.  But people we noticed were getting skin cancer where usually the sun could not possible reach, inner thighs for example.  It was refreshing to see new relative medical studies within the last few years that the chemicals used in sunscreens were the culprit, not the sun.  But we always said, ” Water is the enemy, not the sun.”  We will be getting into that more in the future.  Last but not least, a couple of years ago we had journalist for a blog interview Vivian just on that issue, was she on to something?  We will posting that video interview and article in the coming days… stay tuned!

PHOTO JOURNALING… A VISUAL WINDOW TO ANTI-AGING

The best thing I ever did was to keep a photo journal of my skin. My skin care journey started when I was 33 years old. I used the BEST QUALITY Skin Care possible, BIOKORIUM of course, followed a regimen of cleansing, toning, exfoliating moisturizing and hydrating. I then believed I was doing everything possible to slow down the aging process

At 62 I knew my skin was looking and feeling a little tired. I came to the realization that my skin was out of control then took a current photo and compared it to a photo taken 10 years before. WOW! I was a mess. I had all the 7 signs of aging* on my face plus a couple extra. What went wrong? I am sure there are many women just like me that spent years following a skin care plan trying to do all the right things in order to have beautiful skin only to wake up at age of 60 plus realizing you look and feel old!

I had no other choice but to figure out if Anti Aging of the skin was a real possibility or a figment of everyone’s imagination.

Trying to turn the clock back on my skin was fascinating, exciting and a little bit scary because I had no clue what I was getting into. I could not have done it without the help of my photo journal. It helped me take a closer look at the changes occurring in/on my skin and I could tell what products and processes worked the best. After 1 week of my new improved skin care plan I saw some changes happening slowly on my skin, but after 3 weeks I knew I was finally practicing Anti-Aging.

Losing weight and Anti-Aging in my opinion are very similar. When you want to lose weight your first step is to set a goal; something like I want to lose 10 pounds. Then you may decide what diet and exercise program you are going to try to achieve that goal, then step on a scale to get that bench mark number, your starting point, your actual weight. After a week or two you may step back on that scale to determine if the diet and exercise plan you selected is actually working.

When Practicing Anti-aging or starting a new skin care program you need to set goals as I would like tighter skin or I would like to get rid of the discoloration on my face. If you don’t know what issues you have, go to the 7 preconceived-industry-standard signs of aging* to determine what it is that is happening to your skin then get your benchmark by taking a series of photos. This way you can actually determine if you are getting little, no, or major results. Then determine what skin care diet or program you are going to try. You can check in with your local Dermatologist, Plastic Surgeon or try your local skin care professional. You can even go to your local drug store to pick up all the products you may need to start practicing Anti-Aging RIGHT?…..Well….maybe? It almost becomes a crap shoot when deciding what treatment procedure or product series will be right for your skin. There are millions of products to choose from. Some products are to strong some are too weak. Here is how I know if a product or procedure is working for me.

In my opinion it takes no longer than a week or less to determine if the program you choose is the right fit. When losing weight in the first week you probably feel better. Well the first week of Skin care is the same. Does your skin feel better? If your skin is red or dry and feels a bit uncomfortable you may need to change your program. Your best bet is before starting or investing in any new skin care regimen start a photo journal. Be sure that new skin care plan is working.

Here are some tips on photo positions I take to keep in my photo journal.

Face Front eyes open

Face neck and chest

Face front eyes closed

Face Right Side eyes open

Face Right Side eyes closed

Face Left Side eyes open

Face Left Side eyes closed

Then week to week, month to month you can see what changes are happening to your skin. Keeping a journal is not only important when choosing the right plan, but also tells the story of your skin care journey.

*Seven Signs of Aging:

  1. Dark spots: Dark spots, also called hyper pigmentation are caused by a variety of reasons. It could be caused by sun damage, inflammation, skin injuries or even acne.
  2. Sagging Skin: Ageing as well as the act of gaining and losing weight reduces the tautness of skin and gives an impression of loose skin and a perpetually tired look.
  3. Dull Glow-Less Skin: Dryness is exacerbated by wind, extremes of temperature and air-conditioning. It causes the skin to flake, chap and feel tight.
  4. Lines & wrinkles: These are a natural, unavoidable part of ageing. But, young people may get wrinkles way before their time due to excessive damage from the sun or by smoking.
  5. Dry Skin: Apart from being uncomfortable, dry skin creates scaly lines and wrinkles and is not to appealing to look at. Fortunately, most dry skin results from environmental factors that can be wholly or partially controlled.
  6. Patchy Skin: It is generally caused by differences in melanin content in different parts of the skin, but could also be caused by vascular (blood vessels) changes or the growth of foreign organisms on the skin.
  7. Open pores: Open pores are sometimes referred to as a “strawberry nose”. However they can occur anywhere on the face, back, chest or upper arms.

Are Your Aging Eyes Wrinkly, Droopy, Saggy, Sleepy or Puffy? And what are you going to do about it?

Note, before starting any treatment program or procedure for the eyes especially, check with your doctor to make sure there is not an underlying medical condition that may be causing your problem.

Conventional Skin care wisdom dictates, if you are suffering from Wrinkly, Droopy, Saggy, or Puffy eyes we should all run out and purchase the latest and greatest over priced eye cream and we should proceed with caution when applying said cream to such a delicate area on the face. The instructions may state, lightly pat the eye cream/moisturizer around the eyes. I have heard this from every doctor or Skin Care Professional I know.

It has been my experience that everyone who buys into the eye cream routine will still have aging eyes. The best quality highest grade eye creams may deliver minor- temporary effects .Eye creams will not deliver long lasting major results. Many Plastic Surgeons say surgery is the only answer. If you have upper and lower eye issues like I did you will need two surgeries. Each eye lift surgery or medical procedure can cost from $3,000.00 to $10,000.00 and it still won’t fix the skin issue or take care of the underlying problem.

At 63years of age, I felt surgery was out of the question for me when planning my own regimen for the eyes. I knew conventional skin care practices were not going to get the job DONE. I have every skin care ingredient at my disposal and nothing was giving me even a modest improvement. There had to be a better product, ingredient, procedure or treatment. The first thing I did was throw conventional skin care wisdom out the window, and if Conventional Skin Care said to go right I am going to go left.

When I put together a plan of action for my eyes I looked up all that is available in Skin Care, Medicine, and home remedies, here are some of the treatments and remedies I found for the eyes:

Coffee, tea, cucumbers, potatoes, aloe, baking soda, coconut oil, parsley, a cold spoon, cold water, ice, salt water, egg whites, strawberries, vaseline, lemons, tooth paste, wiitch hazel, Preparation-H, Sleep positions: sleep elevated, fillers, ultra sound radio frequency, $3,000.00 PRP Vampire facial using your own blood, surgery, (BCA) Bichoroaceticic acid, blepharoplasty, cryotherapy, topical Retin- A, laser, yoga lymphatic drainage, eye creams and sun screen.

I then looked up causes and conditions, here are a few:

Water retention, age, lack of sleep, allergies, illness, crying, too much salt, artificial sweetener, make up, cataracts, contacts, genetics, medication, dehydration, muscles stretching around the eye, thyroid dysfunction, smoking, oxidative stress, sun exposure.

I was sure I didn’t have a medical condition, but I did. At the time I started I thought I just had old aging eyes, I really couldn’t explain it. Today I know what the problem was I had a buildup of old dried up depleted skin cells, discoloration or melasma hyperpigmentation and I had these bumps under my eyes called Syringomas. I was a mess! In other words I had Droopy, Saggy, Sleepy and Puffy eyes.

So what was I going to do? What I did was combine a few home remedies with some redesigned acids, peptides, microscrubs, and a couple of other ingredients. Set some clear defined goals and kept a detailed photo journal. Here you have it, my before and after.

BAM! I did it. I am clearly on the road to recovery. And I will NEVER have these eye issues again. Feeling Ageless!

My Skin Care treatment for the eyes will send SHOCK WAVES thru the Skin Care industry. The combination of treatments I did is not for the faint of heart, it’s a thorough work out to the skin around the eyes.

This system will save you thousands on unnecessary treatments. The winning combination is my philosophy, products, process, procedure, and protocol. Follow me, and I will teach you how…. instructions coming soon.

ACNE

acnetwo

I had to include Acne as part of the chemical peeling process because it’s the first thing everyone wants to try regardless of the side effects. A chemical Peel is the last thing I would do to treat acne. In most cases the skin is so badly over processed I have to balance it first. Starting with a chemical peel will only create more over processing and possibly make matters worse.

Acne comes in all shapes and sizes. I had acne when I was 16 until I was 33 so I have some experience. Most of you know my story of how my husband taught me how to use glycolic acid to fix my own acne problem. In my skin care practice I have seen so many different types of acne, Cystic, Black heads, Milia, Small Nodules to large Nodules. I have treated minor cases to extreme cases.

As a facialist Acne is not my passion but I have learned to treat it with much success.  One case in particular comes to mind probably the worst case I have ever seen. It was the middle of December, cold in California when I received a call from “Nicole the actress” that’s how I list her on my cell phone. She told me she had acne and she was desperate to fix it. She believed she needed a chemical peel and if I was willing to do it. I told her I would have to see her first  then I would decide how to treat her.

So let me set the serino up. Nicole was 22 years old , Malaysian, olive skin tone,  and quite beautiful. She was set to start filming a movie and she had 15 days to get her skin into shape or the film company was going to recast her because her skin was soooooo bad and they couldn’t cover it with makeup. Her skin was so bad it itched all the time and she wasn’t able to sleep. Not only was her face itching but the skin on her entire body was itching.  Her skin would keep her up at night. She had these little tiny white liquid bumps all over her face and her face looked swollen from all the inflammation activity that was happening to her. The first thing I told her was that a Chemical Peel was out of the question it would only make her condition worse. Our first step was to find out why she was itching then I had to get the itching to stop. I knew that anything I would do to treat her would only make the itching worse.

Our first meeting was a discussion about her itching. There was no way I could treat her at all. The condition of her skin was so bad. How can a young 22 year old beautiful, olive skin tone girl be so itchy? EASY, the first thing I asked her was how many times do you bathe or shower a day. I was shocked when she told me she bathes 5 to 6 times a day. I told her to STOP bathing, that was her problem. She told me she was addicted to the water and she loved bathing. What she loved more than bathing was acting so I explained to her that she was destroying her skin and she wouldn’t be young and beautiful for very long. She was accelerating the aging process of her skin by stripping the natural oils away. What I also explained to her was that she created this problem and it was what I call BEHAVIORAL ACNE. Her skin was fighting back from the constant stripping, scrubbing, and bathing.

The Four Step Skin Care process I would set up for her would go like this:

1. Stop the Itch.

2. Balance her Skin to a healthy normal Ph.

3. Pull all the Acne under the Skin to the Surface.

4. Clean up any Pitting and Scaring that was left.

Now, remember I had a 15 day time line to get her skin in shape to film her current movie project.  I explained to her because of the condition of her skin it would take about 6 to 8 weeks to get to step 3.  But as long as she followed my plan she would be able to see and feel the healing process happening and she would know we were on the right track.  I also believed that the liquidly bumps on her face would start going away enough she should be ok for filming.  Our first meeting she agreed to follow my directions and no bathing or makeup for 3 days and I would see her again in 3 days.  She agreed, This was her plan:

Morning: Apply SkinWater Hydration Cream

Apply Waterscreen

Evening: Apply SkinWater Hydration Cream

Apply Waterscreen.

If she felt she needed to clean her body (not her face) she could use our facial wash and gently wipe clean with a soft towel. Absolutely no bathing.

If she needed over the counter anti itch ointment that would be okay.  The reason I didn’t have her washing her face was that her skin was so depleted, and I just needed her to stop everything she was doing and add a little moisture to her skin and then seal it up.  She called me the very first day that the Skinwater Hydration Cream was burning her face so for the entire 3 days all she could use was the Waterscreen.  Her first 3 days out of the bath tub or shower her skin stopped itching on her body but her face was still a little itchy.

We started her facial very slow.  She had bumps every where on the surface and under her skin she was a HOT mess. After her first mini facial which  I was just cleaning and trying to hydrate.  Her skin was still so sensitive I could hardly wipe her face because her skin was so weak and painful . (I want to also remind everyone she wanted to start with a chemical Peel.) That evening Nicole started itching all over again.  It took me two weeks to stabilize her skin I saw her  3 times a week for 2 weeks.  In that 2 weeks it was just enough  time to calm down her skin a bit so she would be able to wear makeup again and film the movie.

ALTHOUGH every one around Nicole…her agent, the film makers, her friends, and her family, were still concerned with the condition of her skin and every one had a suggestion or a name of a Dr. for her to see.  She would politely explain that she was going to follow the Biokorium Acne plan for her recovery.  One thing I have to say about “ Nicole the actress” is that she did follow my plan exactly.

One day I was treating Nicole and she walked in with her sister, who had beautiful skin.  I of course had to comment and Nicole told me she does nothing to her skin she doesn’t even wash it much.  Well, that comment spoke volumes to Nicole herself. Her acne was a behavior issue.  She was over washing, over cleaning, over scrubbing, and over stripping her beautiful skin away.

It took us 12 weeks to really get to step 3 and it took us almost 8 months to get to a chemical Peel. In which she had 2 of them. A weak one then a strong one. I would always proceed with caution in this case because it took so long to rebuild her skin.

Nicole had tried everything: Medications, Over the Counter applications, Facials and Spa Treatments.  Her condition just continued to get worse, and no one had ever looked at her behavior, “ bathing”, the one issue that kept the acne condition reoccurring.

While searching for the latest Acne cure or her next Acne Fix, at 22 years of age, “Nicole the actress” was so frustrated and almost ready to lose her dream job when she found BioKorium.

Today her plan is really simple:

Take quick short showers.

Stay off make-up whenever possible.

Her BioKorium products are Facial Wash, 5%Glycolic Acid Cream, Anti Oxidant Cream, Skinwater Hydration Cream, and Waterscreen.
